About IQAC

The IQAC Team of SSD College, Barnala has been created to maintain quality academic standards and to steer the institution towards excellence in academic, co-curriculars and cultural activities. Our aim is to establish and maintain high standards in education, ensuring continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and institutional practices.

Objectives

The principal objective of the IQAC is to establish a framework for deliberate, systematic, and transformative measures to enhance the academic and administrative efficacy of the institution. It also advocates for steps that increase institutional functioning by internalising a quality culture and institutionalising best practices.

  • Ensuring prompt, effective, and forward-thinking execution of academic, administrative, and financial responsibilities
  • To serve as the central coordinating body for quality assurance and examine the quality of the current programmes and suggest innovative approaches to implement them.
  • Fair access to and affordability of educational programs for diverse segments of society
  • Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning
  • The credibility of evaluation procedures.
  • Ensuring the sufficiency, upkeep, and operation of the support infrastructure and services

Functions
  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  • Enabling the establishment of a learner-centred environment that promotes quality education and faculty development to embrace the necessary knowledge and technology for an interactive teaching and learning process.
  • Organisation of feedback collection from students, parents, and other stakeholders regarding quality-related institutional procedures.
  • Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activitie.s
  • Development of Quality Culture in the institution.
  • Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA) and its follow-up.
